Answers to questions we get asked most often.
What time do you start?
If you have chosen our Bridal Prep to First Dance collection then we will start at whatever time your prep starts at, regardless of how early! If you have chosen our Ceremony to First Dance collection then we will arrive shortly before your ceremony starts (normally around half an hour), to ensure that we capture the bridal party’s arrival.
How many hours are included in your full-day coverage?
There are no set hours – no minimum or maximum length of coverage. We start at whatever time your prep starts and normally leave just after your first dance, however this can be extended if you would particularly like sunset or night time shots.
Do you charge for travelling?
Travel within 100-mile radius of our home is included within our price. Dependent on location and time that prep starts we may also stay local to the venue, again this is included within our price. We cover weddings across the country, so if you fall outside of this area then you may incur travel expenses, please contact us to discuss.
Can we pay by credit card?
Of course! Many photographers insist on payment by bank transfer, however we accept all payment methods. Payment by card can be taken over the ‘phone or in person at our studio.
Do you require food?
We do not write a catering requirement into our contract, but if you would like to provide food for us then it would be most appreciated.
What if something goes wrong with your camera on the day?
We have never experienced this as all our equipment is professionally maintained. We always have more equipment with us than we will ever need, this includes additional cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment. Our cameras are fitted with two separate memory cards, so should one fail there is always a backup.
Do you mind wedding guests taking photographs at the same time as you?
We don’t have a problem with guests taking photos, provided you and the person conducting the ceremony have agreed to this. Your guests want to capture their own memories, but please bear in mind that, during the ceremony this can sometimes cause an issue as some guests can act like “paparazzi”, leaning across the aisle with an iPad or camera, blocking both our view and that of other guests.
As there are two of us photographing your ceremony, we will be capturing it from the front and back of the room. There are also some vicars who will only allow photography from the back of the church, so one keen guest could ruin your ceremony photographs.
You are paying us to capture the best possible images of your special day, so you may wish to ask for no photography other than official during the ceremony itself – that way your guests can still capture your arrival, signing of the register and departure. With regards to the official group photographs afterwards, we are always happy to set up the shots, take our pictures and then allow any guests to also take photographs – it is better if guests do not try and take pictures over our shoulders as this is distracting to the people in the photograph and we may then end up with people all looking in different directions. We are there after all to ensure that you receive the most fabulous images possible of your special day.
When can we see our pictures?
We try to have your wedding collection available to view within around two weeks. You will be invited to our studio for a cinema-style prosecco presentation of your collection and will receive your USB to take away with you.
Will our guests get to see the pictures?
Yes. Your complete collection will also be available online on our website, via a password protected gallery. We will provide your guests with access details and password on your wedding day, your guests will then be able to download any images they would like completely free of charge. The gallery will not be active for your guests until you have seen the collection.
Are you full-time professional photographers?
Most definitely. We have a very busy, multi-award-winning studio, winning awards for both wedding and newborn photography. We do, however, only accept a maximum of 20 wedding clients per year. We take time to get to know the people that we work with so that we can offer a much more personalised service, along with offering unlimited consultations.
Are you insured?
Yes, we have both public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance. In addition, any powered equipment brought with us is PAT tested.
